I’m Kyrsten!
I’m so glad you found your way here (and if it was an accident, hopefully I can entice you to stay). I started this blog so that I can do what I love to do most, share food with friends. I have no culinary training and mostly learn as I go in the kitchen. Some of my passions include melted butter, cream cheese frosting, and anything truffle-infused. I taught myself to cook by *gasp* reading the directions and trying not to burn my house down. I promise that everything I post will be simple, delicious and moderately low-anxiety. I hope that this blog is non-pretentious, relatable, and hopefully not too (figuratively) cheesy.
Besides the fact that I like to cook food and then eat it, I also…

“We learn by doing, and there’s no way around it. There is no stand-in for standing in your own kitchen, a trial by fire, literally. You can buy it in a box; you can watch someone else make it for you on TV. But there’s no replacement for what happens when we make something with our own hands, directed by our own senses, motivated by our own love for the people we’re serving.” – Shauna Niequist
